"Beeline" - to "Megafon" with the preservation of the number
So, in order to switch from "Beeline" to "Megafon", it is important to first make sure that the current passport data were indicated in your agreement with "Beeline". They will be compared, and if the data does not match, there will be completely unnecessary problems. Therefore, if the Beeline SIM card was purchased using an old passport, you need to come to the company's office and update your data.
After that, you need to submit an application for number porting to the Megafon company. This can be done either online through the official Megafon website, or by visiting one of the company's offices. Apply - to the branch only of the region in which the contract with "Beeline" was previously drawn up.
Eight days after submitting the application, the number will be transferred (you can choose the date of transfer yourself). Also, according to the law, it is no longer required to communicate with the former operator - all issues with Beeline will be resolved by Megafon employees. When transferring a number, there may be communication problems, especially the first couple of hours. So it's best to set the transfer date for Friday or weekend.
After signing a contract with Megafon, you will receive a SIM card from this company. Until the moment of transfer, it will be inactive. On the day of the transfer, an SMS message will be sent to the Beeline SIM card that this telecom operator will soon be disconnected. After this card stops functioning, you need to connect a new SIM card from Megafon, which should already work. From this moment on, it will be possible to use the services of the new mobile operator with your old number.
