Having bought or inherited an apartment with a telephone, the new owner usually seeks to reissue in his name and all documents for services that the previous owner received. The management company can receive information about the appearance of a new tenant directly from the passport office after your registration there, but you will have to take care of re-registering the phone in any case.
Necessary
- - passport with registration;
- - documents for the apartment;
- - an extract from the house book.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out with the former owner if he is going to leave the phone in the old apartment or will re-register the number at the new place of residence. With the phone that was in your old apartment, if the operator has the technical capability, you can also do as you see fit. Your further actions depend on these circumstances. They also affect the cost of renewal, and very significantly. As a rule, in big cities, when moving from one district to another, there is no way to transfer the old phone number to a new place of residence, and it is best to simultaneously abandon the old number and get another one.
Step 2
If the former owner does not need his old phone number, and you quite calmly part with the one that you once had, contact the telecom operator with an application for re-registration You can negotiate with the former owner and go to the office of the telephone company together. Remember to bring both passports with you. Those who will be filling out the paperwork must be aware that the former owner has dropped out and this must be confirmed. In this case, you will have the opportunity to immediately abandon the old number and get a new one, which will significantly reduce costs.
Step 3
You may need documents of title to the apartment and an extract from the house book. Proof of ownership is required if you are not registered in a telephone room. The administration of the telephone center has the right to demand from you an extract from the house book, if a month has not passed since the date of the purchase and sale agreement, and the former owner of the phone has not notified the telephone center that he has moved and is giving up the phone.
Step 4
Remember that you need to contact your telephone operator before 60 days have passed from the moment when the former owner lost the right to a telephone room. The best option is 30-60 days. In this case, you will not need additional documents, but at the same time, the operator is still obliged to keep the number reserved for you. After 60 days, the operator has the right to dispose of the number as he sees fit.
Step 5
In each region, the prices for renewal may be different. But if you were not a subscriber of the telephone network, then you will have to pay the same amount as new subscribers pay when connecting the telephone. If you give up your old number, you will only pay for the renewal.
Step 6
To rewrite the phone number in the inherited apartment, you need the same documents as when buying. If you have already entered into inheritance rights and registered at your new place of residence, take your passport with you. If you have lived in this apartment before, but the phone was assigned to a deceased relative, you can simply rewrite it to yourself by presenting a death certificate.
