Many have long been using Instagram for their business, like any other social network. Targeted advertising appeared here quite recently, its essence is the same as in search engines - to attract your target audience and cut off unnecessary impressions and clicks.
1. Segment your target audience.
The target audience is divided by gender, age, interests. Be clear about who you are selling a product or service to. For example, if you have a manicure and nail polish salon, target women between 18 and 50 as your target audience. This way, your ad will not be shown to men under the age of 18 and you won't be wasting money. Track your clients all the time and adjust parameters.
2. Place a link to your website or Vkontakte group in your profile to generate additional traffic from your Instagram page.
3. Use video advertisements. At the same time, the video should be bright, colorful and interesting. For example, a “before and after” video sequence would be a great advertisement for a makeup studio. If you are selling fitness clothing, the most informative is showing it in action: a girl on a treadmill or on a simulator.
4. Write informative captions on pictures. Prices, discounts and promotions - what first catches your eye. Although for the artistic component, the inscriptions are a mistake.
5. Experiment with different formats, feeds, settings. Targeted advertising on Instagram is not yet as expensive as on Vkontakte, for example. Therefore, you can safely experiment. Change pictures, texts and track how this affects the number of calls and orders.
