Cellular signal is a pressing problem for all city dwellers. The signal can be either stable or not. It depends on a number of factors that can be directly related to the cell phone itself, or the problem creeps in from the outside. It is worth understanding why the signal disappears.
First of all, it is worth paying attention to what frequencies and what standards all cellular operators in the Russian Federation have. Operators currently support the GSM 850/900/1800/1900 standard. This means that cellular coverage ranges from low to high frequencies. In theory, this should save you from the lack of a signal, because modern models of cell phones operate in almost all of the above frequency ranges. But that doesn't happen. And here are a few reasons: The first of them is the materials used in the construction of houses. Reinforced concrete, metals, wood are sworn enemies for receiving a signal with cellular pipes. In order to somehow "catch", phone users should not go far from the windows of these houses. Sometimes you just have to go into the courtyard of a house, and the connection disappears. It's just that houses around cannot miss a signal. In the cases described above, the term "dead zone" is used. The second reason is the presence of strong electromagnetic fields near the phone. Often the phone (this is especially typical for older models) simply "refuses" to search for the network when it is near the switched on computers, microwave ovens, TV or other household appliances. It is worth trying to turn them off and check if the signal appears. The third reason is the presence of natural barriers and barriers to the signal. This is especially true in the countryside, where there are many trees or hills around. The signal simply will not break through such an abundance of obstacles. In this case, you can try to climb somewhere higher and try to fish out the net again. The last of the reasons may apply not only to the village, but also to the city. If the city is located near rivers or other bodies of water, then when going down the signal may disappear. A few years ago, it was impossible to calmly rest on the banks of a river or lake, since due to the lowland the signal could not reach the cellular subscriber. Now all operators, without exception, are trying to install "honeycomb" not only near cities and in them, but also along the banks of rivers or lakes, and they prefer to do this not on the shore where vacationers gather, but on the opposite one. Excessive proximity of cell towers is harmful to human health.
