Batteries are used in almost all modern portable devices - cameras, phones, iPods, laptops, and so on. Each of them has its own system for alerting the user about their charge level.

Instructions
Step 1
To check the battery level of your laptop, turn it on in battery mode by disconnecting it from the AC adapter. In the lower right corner in the notification area of the operating system, find an icon that displays the charge level. In most cases, it is divided into 3-5 parts. To find out the capacity of the remaining charge in percentage, double-click on it with the left mouse button and view the data in the new window that appears.
Step 2
To find out the level of charge remaining in the battery of a cell phone, camera, GPS navigator or portable mp3 player, look at the corresponding icon in the upper right corner of the screen. This is usually a rough indication of the battery charge and does not show a percentage. It is best to choose when purchasing those devices in which this icon is divided into a larger number of compartments.
Step 3
To find out the charge level of a portable device that does not have an LCD screen, pay attention to the specially installed LEDs, which glow in different colors, informing the user about the approximate remaining operating time. Usually green (less often blue) indicates that the battery is fully charged. A yellow or orange color indicates that the charge level is medium, while a red LED indicates to the user that the battery is running out. Such a system is usually found in various Bluetooth headsets, portable players, landline phones, old cameras, and so on. Also, a similar system applies to mains chargers.
Step 4
If you have a car, purchase chargers for your phone, navigator and other equipment that run on the car's battery. This is especially convenient if you have to be away from home for a long time.
