Step 1
Check the battery health before purchasing a laptop. You can identify a low-quality battery without using any programs. Ask to connect the laptop to AC power. Wait for the battery to charge fully.
Step 2
Check the battery charge indicator. If the indicator does not rise above 98%, then this battery is defective. If this battery works with lithium ions (the inscription LiOn), then it is necessary to prevent the appearance of the "memory effect".
Step 3
Turn off your mobile computer and insert the battery. Connect the device to the mains. Wait for the battery to fully charge. If a special charge indicator is installed in the laptop, then follow its indications.
Step 4
Now unplug the mobile computer from the AC power. Turn on your laptop and run a less powerful program such as a music player. Wait until the battery is completely discharged. The laptop should automatically shut down or go into sleep mode.
Step 5
Now reconnect the device to the mains. Repeat this cycle 3-4 times. This will provide the battery with maximum battery life. If you constantly use your laptop at home, it is best to disconnect the battery. This will extend the life of the part.
Step 6
Wait until the battery reaches 45-55% before disconnecting the battery. Never store a discharged battery outside the mobile computer.
Step 7
After removing the battery from the laptop, wrap it in a plastic bag. Make some holes in it. Store the battery in a place protected from sunlight. Do not store the battery in humid areas.
