The phone number, among other data, contains the code of the telecom operator and the regional branch in which it is registered. The region code can be deciphered using special sites that determine the place of registration of the number.
Instructions
Step 1
Sites providing information on the region of registration of the number are listed below. Select any of them by clicking on the corresponding link. A page with a field for entering the number will open.
Step 2
In the special field, enter the phone number in international format. The first digit corresponds to the country of registration (for Russia it is 7 or +7). As a rule, the numbers from which SMS, MMS are sent and calls are made are displayed in this format.
Step 3
Enter the area code digits and the rest of the number. Press the Enter key or click the appropriate button next to the field.
Step 4
On the updated page (or, in case of forwarding, on the next one), the number itself will be displayed, and below it - information about the country, region and telecom operator that owns the number. If the data is not visible, scroll down the page a little.

The site spravportal.ru, after defining the country, region and operator, offers two additional links - to the main page of the operator's site and to the page for sending an SMS message to the specified number. Scroll a little before following the links. Below you will see a map of Russia and indicate the position of the region (in the "Region" tab). Opening the "Time in the region" tab, you can find out the time zone in which the desired subscriber lives.
