Instructions

Step 1

White balance is an abbreviation for white balance. The lighting of the subject you are photographing most often depends on the time of day. For example, the white balance for daylight sunlight differs significantly from that of indoor lighting. You've probably noticed that photos taken indoors have a yellowish tint. This happens for one of 2 reasons: incorrectly set white balance or dim lighting with lamps ("Ilyich's Lamp").

Step 2

Why is there a white balance, and not others? You can prove this fact to everyone in the sunlight. Take a white sheet of paper and look at it in sunlight - it will be white. Under moonlight, its color will change. Thus, we can say that a white sheet of paper does not have its own color, the color of the surface depends on the type of lighting. This technology has been applied in the photography industry.

Step 3

When using even the simplest and most inexpensive cameras, it is possible to adjust the white balance setting option. An example will be considered on a Lumix LZ7 digital camera. For its full operation, you need to charge AA or HR6 batteries with a nominal voltage of 1, 2V. Insert the batteries into the corresponding connector, taking into account the polarity.

Step 4

Hold the camera in your right hand - you will find an on / off switch under your index finger. Change its position from off to on. Use the dedicated dial to set the normal or intelligent shooting mode.

Step 5

Go to picture settings by pressing the menu / set button. In the menu that opens, go to the tab that shows the camera. Go to "WB Ball Bel" and press the far right button on the joystick.

Step 6

A list of available modes will appear on the right side of the screen, select the appropriate one. Note that as you scroll through the list of modes, the display changes. This function allows you to quickly evaluate the mode in use when you preview it. To set manual mode instead of automatic, activate the last line from the list by pressing the menu / set button.

Step 7

Now aim the camera lens at the object on which you want to set the balance and press the menu / set button again. This and the following photographs will be taken with individual white balance settings.
