A home theater is a set of equipment, usually consisting of a subwoofer and several speakers, which provide movie viewing at a level close to a cinema hall in a home environment.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the apartment before connecting the home theater, walls and floors must be soundproofed. First, take a piece of paper and think about your subwoofer and speaker options. If your system has a good subwoofer, set all speakers to Small size and set the subwoofer crossover to 90Hz.
Step 2
Also set the stereo mode to 7.1 so that all the acoustics work on the test signal. Place the speakers in their places and set the volume levels. Use a real-time audio spectrum analyzer and sound pressure level meter to tune the frequency response.
Step 3
Use the True RTA level audio analyzer to tune your home theater sound. Connect the line-in as well as the output of the sound card. Run Sound System Calibration. Load the microphone calibration curve. Connect the line-out of the card to the receiver (with its stereo input). Connect a microphone to the line-in of the sound card, set the range to 80. Set the limits for the sound axes, as well as the frequency. Set RTA resolution to 1/24 octave, signal type - pink noise. Turn on the generator and input signal processing.
Step 4
Turn on the input processing with the Go button to start the theater acoustics setup. Then wait 10 seconds, turn off the processing and the generator. Write down the measurement description under the graph and save it using the View - Save to Memory command. Then move the speakers, change the listening position, adjust the crossover and repeat the measurements. Repeat these steps until you run out of memory cells.
Step 5
Compare the obtained curves, choose the best one, restore the settings according to the description of the graph and check the measurements again. When adjusting the sound of your audio system, start with the subwoofer, then change the position of the front speakers. Lastly, set up the center, surround, and other speakers. For the subwoofer, use a range of 20 Hz to 500 Hz.
