The main reason why a certain limit is placed on each Sberbank card on withdrawing funds from it is security. For some, this may seem superfluous, but in reality this system prevents fraudsters from withdrawing large funds.

Currently, most of us pay with cards (for example, in online stores), and this is where this system protects its customers from illegal withdrawals. Each bank has its own limits for certain types of cards, which is why anyone can use cards with already fixed limits on their choice. For example, the owner of the Sberbank of Russia card Maestro can withdraw 50,000 rubles per day, while the holder of MasterCard Platinum can withdraw 1,000,000 rubles. Agree, the difference is significant.

According to the information that can be read on the official website of Sberbank, it can be concluded that back in 2013, Sberbank of Russia introduced restrictions on withdrawing funds from cards and until now these limits have not changed.

Holders of Maestro and Visa Electron can withdraw 50,000 rubles per day, users of Visa Classic and MasterCard Standard (standard) - 150,000 rubles, Visa Gold and Master Card Gold (gold) - 300,000 rubles. Holders of MasterCard Platinum, Visa Platinum (platinum), as well as World MasterCard Black Edition - 1,000,000 rubles.

Since March 1, 2015, information has appeared on the official website of Sberbank that no more than 50,000 rubles can be withdrawn from Sberbank cards at ATMs per day, to withdraw a larger amount, you will have to contact the bank's cash desk.

If you need to withdraw an amount more than the allowed card limit, then in this case, contact the Sberbank branch and inform about your intention. However, be prepared to pay an over-limit withdrawal fee. Absolutely for all cards, there is one percent - 0.5% of the amount. That is, if you want to withdraw 70,000 rubles from the Maestro card (with a limit of 50,000), then in this case you will not be charged a commission for withdrawing 50,000 from you, and you will have to pay 100 rubles from the remaining 20,000.
