Instructions

Step 1

If the device you purchased is not able to start without a SIM card, install it into it.

Step 2

Power on the phone. Fully charge its battery. Remember that if it shuts down unexpectedly during the master reset due to a low battery, it could be almost permanently damaged. Only an employee of a repair company, who has a special programmer, can return such a phone to work.

Step 3

Make sure that the unit does not contain data that you or the previous owner required. If such data is available, make a backup copy in any way, for example, transferring it via a cable to a personal computer or via Bluetooth to another phone. Those data that are the property of the owner of the phone, and not yours, after transferring to him without fail, then delete from all carriers and devices belonging to you.

Step 4

Remember that after a full reset, all third-party applications that are not included in the firmware may disappear from the phone. The only exceptions are those that are installed not in the device's memory, but on a memory card, and even then not always.

Step 5

Go to the site, the address of which is given at the end of the article. First, select the manufacturer of your phone or the platform on which it runs on it, and then - a specific model of the device.

Step 6

For some phones, there are two ways to do a hard reset. One of them assumes, together with a return to factory settings, the formatting of the built-in flash memory (except for the part where the firmware is stored), and the other does not. Choose the one that suits you. Please be aware that if the built-in memory is not formatted, viruses may remain in the device.

Step 7

During formatting, do not try to turn off the phone, do not press any keys on it, do not disconnect the charger, do not remove the battery. Just wait.

Step 8

After performing a general reset, write down the necessary data in the phone (for example, contacts), configure the themes, profile, install the desired applications (best of all - free).
