Instructions
Step 1
Check, and, in fact, whether your webcam is physically enabled. Most webcams use a USB port to connect to a computer. Make sure your USB cable is actually connected. In the event that the webcam is connected through a "reseller" in the form of a USB host, try turning it on directly to the computer.
Step 2
If everything is in order with the wires, we check if the webcam is installed correctly. Go through the chain: "Control Panel" - "System" - "Hardware" - "Device Manager". The computer may be "seeing" your webcam, but its drivers need to be updated. If so, you will see a yellow exclamation mark.
Step 3
Update your drivers. Right-click on the device, in the new window select the "Update driver" menu and then follow the instructions to update. If for some reason you cannot find new drivers, use DriverFinder, which scans your computer and allows you to install the missing drivers.
Step 4
If the situation has not changed after installation, remove the hardware. Do this using the Add or Remove Programs menu in Control Panel. Restart your computer and reinstall the software.
Step 5
In the event that both the drivers and the web video software still do not work, you may have a problem with the source of the video setting. Set the webcam as the video source. You can do it like this: from the "File" menu, select "Video Source" and from the submenu, select "Webcams".
