Nokia phones have a power button, usually located at the top of the case. Quite often, it is pushed inward, crashes out, or simply stops working. In this case, it is possible to turn on the phone in several ways.
Necessary
- - tweezers;
- - thin non-insulated wires;
- - thin screwdrivers;
- - a soldering iron with a thin tip;
- - soldering flux;
- - a lamp with a magnifying glass.
Instructions
Step 1
Use tweezers or any sharp object to remove the non-working button from the phone case. Shine a flashlight or lamp on the hole in the housing. You will see a rectangular section of the board corresponding to the size of the button and 2 pins on each side of it. Use a thin wire, needle or pin to close any pair of side contacts. Be careful not to push the needle or pin into the hole, otherwise you will damage the pins below. Afterwards, do not turn off the phone or completely drain the battery.
Step 2
If you cannot remove the button, then remove the phone case. To do this, use special thin screwdrivers to unscrew all the bolts, then carefully lift the back panel. Remove the stuck button.
Step 3
Take a thin-tip soldering iron. Plug it into a power outlet. Dip the heated tip into the soldering flux. For better visibility, illuminate the board with a special lamp equipped with a magnifying glass. Take the button with tweezers. Solder it to the pins on the board. When soldering, do not overheat the button and board, otherwise they may melt. Do not leave jumpers between contacts.
Step 4
If you do not have a soldering iron and flux, then simply close the shutdown button contacts with a thin metal object in the same way as described in the first step. When closing, hold the battery with one hand so that it does not fall out and the phone does not turn off again.
Step 5
Replace the back panel and screw in all the bolts.
Step 6
If the shutdown button is lost, then solder thin wires to any pair of side contacts on the board. Their length should be 10-15 mm. Route the wiring outside the enclosure. Place the back panel and screw in the bolts. To turn on the phone, simply short-circuit the soldered wires.
Step 7
If attempts to turn on the phone on your own are unsuccessful, contact a service center or repair shop.
