Usually, the cellular signal is determined automatically, provided that it is in the service area of its operator and there is a SIM card in a properly working phone, but sometimes failures occur.
Necessary
- - your mobile phone;
- - a working SIM card.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the main menu of your phone and open the item responsible for operator settings. Select "Search network" and select automatic search. After a while, the network will be detected and determined by itself. If this does not happen, select the manual mode and in the provided list of available networks select the one whose operator is serving you.
Step 2
Please note that at this point you must have a SIM card inserted in your phone and the battery charge must be sufficient for searching. Also, the antenna signal strength of your phone may depend on the current mode if power saving is enabled. Change the settings in the corresponding menu and search again if the network is not found automatically.
Step 3
If your phone does not search for a network, and it works offline, check for a SIM card in the corresponding compartment of the device under the battery and turn it on again. Pay special attention to the pictograms indicating which side to install the SIM card correctly. It should also be active at the time you search for a cellular signal.
Step 4
Check the performance of your phone's antenna using another SIM card, preferably an alternative operator. Also make sure that offline mode is turned off on your phone, as it often turns on automatically when activated afterwards.
Step 5
If for some reason you cannot find a cellular connection, contact your operator's technical support service to determine the cause of the malfunction. Please note that in some cases your passport details may be required. If the problems with finding the signal are related to the breakdown of the phone, buy a new one or contact the services of service centers for repair.
