Setting up your own internet radio station is a snap. The radio station will allow you to air songs, interviews and commercials whatever you want to interest the audience on the internet. Fortunately, modern technology allows everyone to do this.
Necessary
- - a computer with Internet access;
- - audio files for broadcast.
Instructions
Step 1
Find and research various internet radio hosting services. Each service offers features such as number of listeners, type of music, and management options that you can build your radio around. Some radios require a monthly subscription fee that will need to be paid during the registration process.
Step 2
Register with your chosen service. During the registration process, you will have to fill in the details of your internet radio station. These details may include the name of the station, its genre and your location for the broadcast.
Step 3
Download and install the software required to host an online radio station. Some hosting services require you to download special plugins in order for it to work on your computer, but in this case, the resource itself must provide them.
Step 4
Prepare the required number of songs, commercials and other audio files for broadcasting using the software you just installed. In some cases, you will need to upload audio information to the hosting provider's online server, which will store it on the Internet.
Step 5
Create playlists with audio files that you have prepared for broadcasting. Once you start a station, it will continue to function until your playlist ends. Therefore, if you want to broadcast radio programs 24 hours a day, then your playlist should be focused on the same time. Otherwise, you will have to manually add new recordings on the fly to continue the broadcast.
Step 6
Start an online radio station on the Internet by opening your playlist. Now your programs can be listened to by users all over the world!
