Step 1
On the plus side, updating software using the Nokia Software Updater utility is officially legal. If the phone malfunctions after flashing, you can apply for its free warranty service. Download and install this utility. Prepare your phone for the flashing process.
Step 2
Charge your mobile phone fully. Buy a new SIM card or install a SIM card that you definitely won't be called. The process of flashing Nokia phones with the NSU program is carried out with the mobile device turned on. Disable the PIN code request when turning on the phone. This will save you unnecessary complications.
Step 3
Download the official firmware suitable for your mobile phone. Most likely, the downloaded archive will contain a single.ehe file. Run it and specify an empty folder to save the extracted files. In this case, it is better to use the name "New folder" and place it on the desktop. This is where the utility will look for the required firmware files.
Step 4
Connect the charger and USB cable to your phone. Connect it to your computer and select the PC Suite operating mode. Do not under any circumstances select the USB storage mode. Turn on the NSU program and click the "Start" button. After a while, a new window will appear. Click the "Next" button in it. Accept the license agreement and click Next a few more times.
Step 5
After detecting the mobile phone by the program, a new window will appear. Click the "Update" button and wait for the software update process to complete. The phone will restart several times. Sometimes a message will appear stating that the mobile phone is disconnected from the PC. Do not try to reconnect it yourself. This is just one of the stages of the firmware. After completing the software update, safely remove your phone and restart it.
