The content of phone memory cards can be blocked at the user's discretion. Locking methods are different, for example, simple write protection, setting a password for access to files, or setting a blocking access to certain data.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the main menu of your Nokia phone. Find the item responsible for accessing memory elements. Choose a flash card among them and make sure that access to it is blocked. If you have a smartphone, its menu can be found in the "File manager" section in the "Office" menu or "Control Panel" in the event that a separate item is not installed for the card.
Step 2
Try to enter your phone's security password, which is 12345 or 00000 by default, in case you haven't changed it during use. Also try different combinations that are most likely if the phone code does not work.
Step 3
Make sure the file protection system is not installed on your memory card. To do this, turn off your mobile device and remove the USB flash drive. Check the position of the Lock-Unlock switch; if necessary, move it to the second position.
Step 4
Check if your flash card opens in the computer. Insert it into the card reader, then connect it to the USB port of the PC. If the map opens and file operations are available to you, most likely the problem lies in your phone's settings. Perform a factory reset to correct the problem.
Step 5
To do this, go to the control panel menu, select "General" and find restoring the phone to its original settings. Then put the removable storage back in place, turn on the phone and check the lock. Also make sure that access to the memory card on your phone is not regulated by special applications and file managers.
Step 6
If the flash card does not open in the menu of your computer, format it using standard Windows tools and reset the phone to its original settings. Insert the memory card into your phone and be sure to reformat it from the menu of your mobile device.
