Also, the firmware is required for phone models that do not work correctly (cause an automatic reboot, etc.).

Necessary

Motorola L-series phone, RSD Lite software, MotoMidMan, P2KTools, data cable (USB-miniUSB)

Instructions

Step 1

Before any actions related to the firmware of the phone, you must charge the device to 100%. It is also recommended to install the drivers for your specific L-series model. If the driver disc was not included, you can download them from the Internet. After completing these steps, you need to pull out the flash card, if any, and connect the phone and computer using a data cable. Do not forget that you should download the firmware files before flashing your phone.

Step 2

Launch P2KTools and save everything that is important for you in this phone: contacts, messages, pictures, applications and mp3-melodies. If you cannot save all the data from your phone using this program, use additional software: MotoMidMan and P2KAE.

Step 3

Close all programs that are currently working with your phone, you can go to the "Task Manager" for complete confidence (Ctrl + alt="Image" + Delete or Ctrl + Shift + Esc). Now start the RSD Lite program.

Step 4

The icon of your phone should appear in the main window of the program. Click on the button to download the firmware files from the hard drive and specify the path to them.

Step 5

It remains to press the Start button. Several lines will appear on the screen of your phone, which indicate the beginning of the firmware (Boot Loader… SW version). If there are no inscriptions on the screen of your phone, it means that it has not entered the flash mode. Press "*" + "#" + "red shutdown button".

Step 6

The process of flashing the phone can take from 5 to 10 minutes. After flashing Motorola L-series, the program will display a message about successful flashing and will try to reboot the phone automatically. If this does not happen (reboot the phone), do this action yourself. If for some reason a failure occurs (network jump), repeat this operation again.
