If your SIM card is out of order or was lost, then it can be restored by contacting the MTS contact center. You will receive a new card almost immediately after going through a simple verification procedure and providing all the data necessary for this. All your previously saved contacts will remain in the memory of the SIM card, so you can easily continue to communicate with friends and acquaintances after activating it.

The procedure for restoring an MTS number in Ukraine consists of the following stages:

- subscriber identification;

- blocking of a lost SIM-card;

- restoration and receipt of a new SIM-card with the same number.

Subscriber identification and blocking

The SIM-card can be blocked and restored only after passing through the subscriber identification. This procedure is mandatory and differs depending on which tariff plan (prepayment or contract) you have connected.

If you have activated the "Internet Assistant" on the MTS website, then you can block the SIM card through it without identifying the subscriber.

It is enough for MTS Contract subscribers to provide passport data for individuals or company details for legal entities. Next, write an application for blocking and restoring, after which you will already be issued a new SIM card.

MTS Prepaid subscribers can identify themselves in three ways. The easiest way to do this is if you have previously indicated your data in the "MTS Registration". To restore the number, simply contact the nearest branch of the company with your passport.

If you have activated the Personal Assistant Password service, then call 111 * 7, enter your password and the phone number you want to block. After that, inform the operator of your personal data and leave a request to block the SIM card.

If these services are not connected to you, then in order to restore the number, personal identification should be carried out directly at the MTS branch. To do this, you will need a passport. After checking your passport, the operator will ask you 3 basic and several additional questions, of which you must answer at least two. You will need to remember the last three phone numbers that you called and sent SMS messages. If you used GPRS, then inform the operator of the APN access point used. You will also be asked to remember the date of the first call, the date of the last call or SMS, the date of the last replenishment, the current amount on the account, the tariff model.

Find the packaging from the starter pack. It will contain the PUK1 code, which will help you to pass the subscriber identification faster to restore the number.

You can apply for the restoration of a lost or non-working SIM card number immediately after identifying the subscriber through the MTS contact center, by submitting an application on the website or by contacting the nearest MTS service center. Then the operator will tell you how and when you can get a new SIM card. Be sure to take your passport with you, since the restored number will only be handed over to its owner.
