First generation iPhone
Initially, Steve Jobs did not intend to design a phone model. His target was a touchscreen tablet. However, after the multi-touch display was developed, the head of Apple decided to postpone the idea with a tablet, thinking that such a device would look much better in a phone. In the end, he made the right decision - after a couple of failures, the first iphone was finally born. The iPhone successfully combined the functions of a player, a telephone and a pocket computer. However, a significant drawback of the model was the lack of 3G and the need to use a slower Internet connection.
The first iPhone was not well protected, so it could not overtake BlackBerry communicators in popularity in the corporate segment.
IPhone 3G
The next generation of iPhones was not long in coming - it was necessary to correct the shortcomings in the first device. The second generation iPhone is the iphone 3G. The design of the device itself was modified - the back aluminum cover was replaced with a plastic one, the operating system was updated and, finally, high-speed Internet became available.
IPhone 3GS
The iPhone 3GS is the third generation of iPhones. In this model, the letter "S" stands for speed - many applications have become much faster. The camera has also been improved, the battery has become more powerful, and the voice control function has appeared.
Iphone 4
The next device from Apple was the iphone 4. The screen and the camera (5 pixels) became even better in the mobile device. The body of the iPhone is made of aluminosilicate glass with a grease-repellent coating.
Next came the iphone 4S model, the main innovation of which was the virtual assistant Siri.
IPhone 5
In the iphone 5, the developers have made much more changes than in the model with serial number four. The device received a larger screen and more RAM. The updated iPhone received a new, already sixth version of the operating system and began to support SIM cards of the nano-SIM standard. Also, users finally have the opportunity to use the 4G network.
IPhone 5c
But the iphone 5c is not too different from its predecessor. Only the design of the phone has changed dramatically. Unlike previous models, which had an aluminum body in black or white, the iPhone 5c is made of plastic and comes in several colors: white, pink, blue, yellow and green.
IPhone 5s
To date, the latest iPhone model is the iPhone 5s. The device received some improvements - the system was updated, the front and rear cameras were adjusted. The main innovation is the Touch-ID fingerprint scanner. The colors of the device have also changed: the iPhone 5s can have a golden, silver or graphite gray aluminum body.
