This guide is written primarily for grandparents whose memory fails; and secondly, for those who are just beginning to learn the charm of using tablets and phones from Apple as an electronic reader.

Instructions
Step 1
How to create collections.
- Step 1. Press the Collections button at the top left of the screen.
- Step 2. Press the New button in the appeared window.
- Step 3. Write the name of the new collection.
- Step 4. Click the Finish button.
Step 2
How to edit collections.
- Step 1. Press the Collections button at the top left of the screen.
- Step 2. Click the Edit button in the window that appears.
- Step 3. To rename, touch the name of the desired collection.
- Step 4. To delete one or several collections (including books): click on the red circle with a white horizontal stripe.
- Step 5. To move the collection above or below the current position: click on the Three stripes icon.
- Step 6. Click the Finish button.
Note. To quickly delete one collection:
- Step 1. Press the Collections button at the top left of the screen.
- Step 2. Swipe over the name to be deleted from right to left.
- Step 3. Press the Delete button

How to move a book.
Option 1. Transfer in one collection.
In list mode.
- Step 1. Click the Edit button in the upper right corner.
- Step 2. Press the button (three lines) to the right of the book title and, while holding it, drag the book above or below the current position.
- Step 3. Click the Finish button in the upper right corner.
In shelf mode.
- Step 1. Touch the book to be moved until it visually enlarges and, keeping your finger on it, move it to the desired place.
- Step 2. Let go of the book.
Option 2. Transfer to another collection.
- Step 1. Click the Edit button in the upper right corner.
- Step 2. Mark the books for moving (for the list mode, the circle to the right of the book title).
- Step 3. Click the Move button in the upper left corner.
- Step 4. In the list of collections that appears, select the required one.
Step 4
How to rename a book (only for Pdf format).
Step 1. Switch to the list view of the collection (for more details, see paragraph 3 Option 1 of the article How to use iBooks? Part 1).
Step 2. In the upper right corner, click the Edit button.
Step 3. Touch the end of the book title and immediately remove your finger. The virtual keyboard should automatically appear and a blinking cursor next to the last letter should appear.
Step 4. After renaming the book, click the Finish button in the upper right corner.

How to delete a book.
In list mode.
Option 1. For one book.
- Step 1. Swipe along the line with the title of the book from right to left until the Delete button appears opposite the title.
- Step 2. Press the button.
Option 2. For multiple books.
- Step 1. In the upper right corner, click the Edit button.
- Step 2. Click on the circle to the left of the books to be deleted, then
- Step 3. Click the Delete button in the upper left corner of the screen.
In shelf mode.
Step 1. In the upper right corner, click the Edit button.
Step 2. Select one or more books. A blue circle with a check mark will appear on each of the selected books.
Step 3. Click the Delete button in the upper left corner of the screen.

How to set up flipping of a book from both fields.
By default, when you touch in the right area of the screen, a new page opens, and when you touch the left area, the previous one.
Sometimes, for readability, you need to open a new page when touched from both fields.
Step 1. Launch the Settings application from the desktop or from the search bar (for details, see paragraph 1 of the article How to use iBooks? Part 1).
Step 2. On the left side of the screen, find the iBooks icon, and on the right side, activate the switch on the Scrolling line from both fields.
To return to the previous page when reading a book, you will need not to touch, but to swipe across the screen from left to right.

How to share quotes.
- Step 1. Create a quote. (for more details, see paragraph 14 Quotes of the article How to use iBooks? Part 1)
- Step 2. Touch the quote until the pop-up menu appears.
- Step 3. Press the Export button or the icon with a drawing of an outgoing arrow from a rectangle / square.
- Step 4. Choose a method of forwarding the quote: letter, message / sms, social networks.
- Step 5. Enter the recipient's address and click the Send button.

What formats does iBooks read.
- ePub;
- Pdf.
Step 9
How to use the dictionary.
- Step 1. Select a word or phrase.
- Step 2. Select the Definition / Define button in the pop-up menu.
If there is a matching dictionary, a dictionary window will appear with options for definitions.
If there is no suitable dictionary, then you can use the search buttons on the Internet or Wikipedia.
- Step 3. Press the Finish button to return to reading.

Setting up dictionaries.
With iBooks 3.0 and 3.1, you can search for definitions in the following languages:
- German, - Spanish, - French, - Japanese, - simplified Chinese, - Korean, - Italian, - Dutch.
- Step 1. For a word or phrase in the pop-up menu, click the Define button.
- Step 2. To add / remove dictionaries, press the Manage button.
In the window that appears, to add the desired dictionary, click on the cloud with a downward arrow; for deletion - on a cross in a circle.
- Step 3. To select a definition from the installed dictionaries, press the Dictionary button.
- Step 4. To return to reading, touch an empty field on the screen.
