IMessage activates the extended mode of using sending and receiving SMS on devices running the iOS operating system. To activate this mode, you need to use the appropriate section in the device settings menu.
Instructions
Step 1
Click on the "Settings" button in the main menu of your phone or tablet. Select "Messages". On this screen, activate the iMessage section by moving the slider to the "On" position. If this is already enabled, then iMessage support was previously activated.
Step 2
Wait for the message "Waiting for activation" to appear. The phone will then ask you to enter your Apple ID account settings if it is not activated in settings. Enter the username and password that you use in iTunes or AppStore, and click "Login".
Step 3
Agree to the terms of use of the service and that the operator may charge a fee for using additional messaging features on the phone. Upon successful activation, you will see the text "Messages can be sent between iPhone, iPad and iPod."
Step 4
Below you will see the options for setting up iMessage. Activate the "Read report" item if you want to send confirmation to other users that you have read their message.
Step 5
Turn on Send as SMS to send a regular message when iMessage is not available. This may be due to the inaccessibility of the Internet connection, which is also used when sending iMessage. Select the available MMS messages radio buttons if you want to also send MMS if the service is unavailable.
Step 6
The "Show Topic" section will be responsible for displaying the topic of the current conversation at the top of the screen. Number of Characters allows you to display the number of letters sent via iMessage in a message.
Step 7
To send iMessage, go to the Messages app on the home screen of your device. Click on the image of a pen and a piece of paper in the upper right corner of the screen. Select a recipient and start typing your message. Optionally, you can also attach a photo to the message and attach a photo or video to the letter. The setup is complete.
