Step 1
After you have taken your mobile out of the water, under no circumstances turn it on until you dry it. Take out the battery, remove the SIM card, all memory cards, and other peripherals.

Wipe your cell phone well with a dry, absorbent cloth. Try to avoid excessive shaking of the phone, as water can move to deeper sections, making it difficult to work. Wipe all accessible parts of the phone with rubbing alcohol. alcohol perfectly displaces liquid, and itself evaporates in a short time.
Step 3
Use a vacuum cleaner to draw in the liquid. Make sure that all parts of the phone are securely fixed and not sucked into the vacuum cleaner. Never use a hair dryer for this method, as the flow of air will move all moisture to secluded areas, making drying more difficult.
Step 4
After all the manipulations have been done, put the phone in a bowl of rice overnight. Rice is excellent at absorbing moisture, so it will easily dry out your cell phone. After you've tried drying your phone, test it by inserting the battery and turning it on.
