Instructions
Step 1
The problem is that often the Firewall blocks access to Internet resources for some programs. In such cases, you have to independently register permissions for certain services and utilities. Connect your computer to the LAN port of the modem. Open the web interface of its settings by entering the required IP address into the browser line.
Step 2
If you have already configured a modem connection to the Internet, then open its properties. Make sure NAT is enabled and active. Now open the Advanced Setup menu and go to the NAT menu. Some modem models have a separate Firewall menu.
Step 3
Now click the Add button to configure the new rule. Find the Custom Server menu and check the box next to it. In the field of this menu, enter the name of the program for which you want to open the port. It is recommended to use Latin characters if the version of the modem does not support the Russian font.
Step 4
Now in the Server IP address column, write down the IP of the site or resource to which you want to open access. If you only know its address, then press the key combination "Start" and R. Enter the command ping address -t in the field that appears. The website address will appear in the command line window that opens.
Step 5
Now fill in the External Port Start, External Port End and Internal Port Start items with the number of the LAN port to which your computer is connected. In the Remote IP column, enter the address of your computer's network adapter.
Step 6
Save the modem parameters. Reboot the network equipment by disconnecting it from the mains for a while. Wait for the modem to load and connect to the provider's server. Try the connection you just configured. Please note that typically modems can only configure a maximum of 32 routes for all ports.
