With the advent of 64-bit processors, users who are far from understanding the technical subtleties began to face the problem of incompatibility of some programs with the operating system installed on the computer. Indeed, operating systems are now being released for both 32-bit and 64-bit computers, and there are applications designed with one bit or another in mind.

Step 1
There are actually two options to determine the processor bit capacity without disassembling the computer (and it is unlikely that anyone will need it): to use standard Windows tools or special third-party programs. The first option is suitable if you just need to understand the bit depth (32 or 64), and the second - if in addition to this you are interested in other technical details of the "stuffing" of your computer.
Step 2
So, the first way. The simplest. Find the "My Computer" (or "Computer") icon on the desktop, right-click on it and select the "Properties" command in the context menu that appears. A window will open in which, among other information about the computer, the bit of the processor will be indicated.
Step 3
Method two. Slightly harder. Download and install the CPU-Z or AIDA 64 program on your computer (developer sites: www.cpuid.com and www.lavalys.com). After starting the CPU-Z program, on the CPU tab you will see information about the processor bitness. In the AIDA 64 program, this data can be viewed in the "Computer", "System board", "CPU" menu.
