The ideology of a "shortcut" - a file with hyperlinks leading to other objects (files, folders, Internet pages) - was borrowed by the Windows Mobile operating system from the "adult" Windows. Unfortunately, creating a shortcut on a mobile device takes much longer than on a regular computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Open File Explorer on the desired device.
Step 2
Select the folder containing the file to which you plan to create a shortcut, and call the service menu by "long pressing" on the file icon. (A long press in Windows Mobile is called touching the icon of the selected item with the stylus and holding it in that position for a few seconds. This action is analogous to a right-click in a "normal" Windows OS.)
Step 3
Select the "Copy" item, since the items responsible for creating shortcuts do not exist in the "Explorer" menu.
Step 4
Navigate to the folder selected for creating the shortcut and “long press” on an empty space in the contents of the folder to bring up the context menu.
Step 5
Select Insert Shortcut.
Step 6
Repeat all of the above steps to step 3 if you want to create a shortcut to the EXE executable file.
Step 7
Select "Send" and "Start as a shortcut" to initiate the process of creating a shortcut.
Step 8
Go to the internal memory of the device (not to be confused with the memory of a memory card!) And open the Windows folder.
Step 9
Go to the "Main Menu" folder and find the created shortcut. The name of the shortcut will be the same as the name of the executable file, and the extension will be Ink.
Step 10
Leave the shortcut in the folder to display in the Start menu. Cut the shortcut and paste into the Programs folder to display in the Start - Programs menu.
Step 11
Customize the Start menu according to your preference. To do this, select the "Settings" item and go to the "Menu" in the folder that opens.
Step 12
Apply the check boxes for the most frequently used applications and uncheck the boxes for the rest of the programs. It should be remembered that the number of programs permanently present in the Start menu is limited to seven items.
Step 13
Confirm your choice by clicking OK with the stylus.
