Each of us appreciates and loves our stereo system. And the most unpleasant thing is when one column fails. I don't want to change all the acoustics, but without one speaker the effect is not the same. Well, in this case, you need to take a soldering iron, a screwdriver and start repairing the part of the system that refuses to work.
More often than not, the problem lies in the heart of the speaker, in its dynamics. To fix a speaker with a speaker defect, you need to find out what it is. There may be several options:
- condensate on the membrane;
- debris between the magnet and the coil;
- a burst of wires on the diffuser;
- demagnetization of magnets;
- violation of the shape of the membrane.
In each case, there is an option to "revive" the column on your own. It is also worth remembering that a violation of the speaker case can cause noise and extraneous sounds.
- Condensation on the membrane can be removed by heating it under an incandescent lamp. Remember, you cannot wipe the membrane, the slightest violation of its shape can lead to a loss of sound qualities.
- If the membrane is broken, you can try to fix it by replacing it. It is worth trying to fix the shape if there is no other way out, but do it very carefully.
- Dusty speaker, it is better to remove it with a cotton swab and alcohol. Wrap cotton wool on the tip of a long stick, or wiring, moisten it with alcohol and start cleaning.
- If you find wires that have come off the diffuser, they need to be soldered. After soldering everything into place, reinforce them with epoxy or glue. Electrical tape is too rough for a speaker.
- The worst option is if the magnet "led". In this case, the speakers can only be repaired by replacing the magnet. Finding a suitable magnet can be more difficult than replacing the entire speaker.
- Disruption of the column case, the problem is complex. It is better not to close the gap, but to change the entire wall. To do this, you can use a plastic plate, a wooden board, or metal. The task is not an easy one, the integrity of the speaker must be perfect, otherwise the sound will be lost. Therefore, after the new part is ready, pre-treat the new joints with silicate glue or epoxy.
