A gamepad is a game console, a type of game manipulator, made most often in the form of a joystick. It is needed in order not to use a standard mouse and keyboard during computer games. If you're having trouble turning on your controller, here are some tips that might help you.

Step 1
We will tell you how to turn on the game console using the example of Xbox gamepads. So, there are two options here: wired and wireless gamepads. For both options, you need to purchase the console separately, it is required to work with the gamepad. In the case of a wired gamepad, simply plug the cord into the USB connector located on the front of the console.
Step 2
If you have a wireless model of a gamepad, then follow these instructions: first turn on the console itself, and then press and hold the Guide button on the controller until the device turns on. Now press the connect button located on the console, immediately press the connect button on the controller. You will see the lights around the power button on the console blink when the blinking is complete, indicating that the controller is connected.

Note that each connected gamepad has one of four positions, which in turn correspond to the glowing lights around the Guide button on the controller and the power button on the console. If your gamepad does not turn on - check the batteries are working, replace them if necessary, do not forget to observe the polarity.

If you need to connect more gamepads, follow the same sequence of actions, the maximum number of gamepads that you can connect is four.

In order to disable the gamepad - press and do not release the Guide button for a few seconds, then turn off the gamepad. If you turn off the console, the controller will automatically reconnect as soon as you turn the console back on. Do not connect your controller to multiple consoles at the same time. If you connect your controller to a different console, it loses connections to the previous console.
