A microphone is a device for transmitting sound to an audio device for later playback and recording. It is recommended to disassemble it only in extreme cases, and repair it only if you have the skills to work with audio equipment of the corresponding manufacturer.

Step 1
To disassemble a conventional microphone, try disconnecting the top half of it. To do this, try removing it by prying it off from different sides. Also, some models have a twisted design. Be careful not to damage the microphone wire connections.
Step 2
In order to disconnect the microphone in the phone, disassemble it by unscrewing the screws holding the case of the mobile device, then prying both parts of the device with a plastic card or a non-sharp knife, unscrew the microcircuit and find the microphone mount. Disconnect it with a small Phillips screwdriver. In case it is soldered to the chip of your phone, it is best not to try to disconnect the device, so that in the future you will not have to contact the service center.
Step 3
If you want to disassemble your laptop's microphone, first open the monitor case. To do this, remove the special plugs installed around its perimeter, unscrew the bolts that appear, if necessary, also disassemble the computer case. This may be necessary when the monitor casing mounts are located under the panel above the keyboard.
Step 4
Pry up the sides of your screen case using a plastic card or a mild knife. If the case is secured with special glue, place a flat screwdriver at the junction of the monitor parts and lightly hit it with your palm from above. Locate the microphone mount at the top left of your monitor.
Step 5
If you want to disassemble the microphone from a mobile phone headset, use a thin flat screwdriver or a non-sharp knife to pry off parts of the device. After the parts of the microphone housing are detached, use a small Phillips screwdriver of the correct size to unscrew the small fasteners.
