Transferring phones to tone dialing mode can be quite problematic. This is especially true for models with touch controls, but there are problems in phones with mechanical buttons.
Instructions
Step 1
After starting the connection, use the special soft-key to access the keyboard, which will appear on the screen after pressing. This is true for most models of cell phones with touch controls. Enter an asterisk or "+" or one of the combinations of these buttons from the keyboard, and then the tone input mode is activated on your phone. Also pay attention to the menu in the call mode, perhaps your model supports changing the tone dialing in this way.
Step 2
During a conversation, click on the "enter number" item in the context menu, after which you will see a dialing menu on the screen, enter a combination to activate tone dialing typical for your mobile device model. You can view this information in the overview of your phone, or by reading the instructions for it, which is included in the standard package of mobile devices.
Step 3
If you have a regular phone with mechanical buttons, in call mode, press and hold the star button or the "+" sign for a while. Please note that initially any phone is in tone dialing mode, therefore, in most cases, when you are told to switch the phone to this mode, they mean that this parameter was changed by you earlier. The same applies to landline telephones.
Step 4
If your touchscreen phone, for one reason or another, does not support keyboard input during an active call, contact a special service center, as this may indicate a malfunction: the buttons, whatever they may be, must be pressed. Also, the problem may be in viruses or firmware in the event that the phone is old enough, or you have installed a non-original program.
