You bought a Siemens phone for your home, but here's the bad luck: you need a tone-based dialing mode (for example, to follow the prompts of an autoinformer about services), but the instructions are written in such cloth language that you only have to shrug your shoulders. What to do?
Instructions
Step 1
Please note: pulse dialing is used in the default settings of any phone. You can distinguish it from the tonal one by the characteristic clicks in the receiver when dialing a number. There is a universal way to switch to tone mode, but it does not work in all models and brands of phones. Try to use it - click the "star".
Step 2
Siemens Gigaset phones usually respond to the following actions: - press the call key of the subscriber;
- call the function of switching to the tone mode by dialing "10";
- in the menu that appears, press "1".
Step 3
However, there are many nuances when switching to tonal mode on different models. So the Siemens Gigaset A100 radiotelephone is faithful to the classics of the genre and will automatically switch to a new dialing mode when you press the "asterisk" (provided that you hold it for 1-2 seconds).
Step 4
If you are the owner of a Siemens Gigaset 900-3000 phone, you will have to press the following keys one after the other (several options for switching to tone mode): - "call" and "asterisk";
- "challenge", "asterisk", "challenge".
Step 5
If you are a happy owner of Siemens Gigaset 4000, then you will have to switch to tone dialing mode as follows: - dial "10-30-60" and wait for the system to answer;
- after the system answers, go to the radiotelephone menu;
- scroll it down to the TEMP / TONE option (or just TONE);
- confirm your choice by pressing the "OK" button.
Step 6
Almost all models of radiotelephones are protected from unauthorized access by a PIN code, which the system will ask for when switching from pulse dialing to tone dialing. The default PIN is 0000, but it is better to replace it with a more complex combination of numbers.
