Many devices (such as a mobile phone, radio or CD player) support radio reception. However, individual radios continue to be popular.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide where you will listen to the receiver. The fact is that at a considerable distance from the city, some devices will not be received by all stations. Therefore, for a summer residence, you should purchase a receiver with a wide range. In addition, if you like to listen to any Western radio stations, then get a multi-wave radio (in addition to FM radio stations, it will also catch MW and LW waves).
Step 2
Think in advance about how much you are willing to spend on the purchase of such equipment. Its cost will directly depend on the power of the radio receiver and its dimensions. The price is also influenced by whether it is a monaural device or a stereo device (the latter will cost you a little more).
Step 3
Do not forget about such technical requirements as high sensitivity of the device, the presence of a detailed scale (ideally digital) and selectivity. The latter term means that the device must receive even weak signals, while at the same time resisting interference that occurs at adjacent frequencies. In addition, the device should provide interference-free operation if a full-size outdoor antenna is connected to it. However, it should be noted: the price of such radios will be appropriate.
Step 4
It is desirable that the receiver be able to operate on both batteries and mains power. In addition, the device should be not only light and compact, but at the same time vibration and moisture resistant. Thanks to these properties, the owner of the radio will be able to transport and operate it even in conditions of high air humidity (for example, somewhere on the shore of a reservoir).
