If you want to make your own subwoofer, you only need to buy some plywood and the speaker itself. If you have the necessary tool, the execution time for all actions will not exceed a couple of hours, and the result will certainly delight you.
Necessary
Speaker, plywood sheet, screwdriver, jigsaw, sampling
Instructions
Step 1
First, you need to prepare a sheet of plywood for the subsequent assembly of the subwoofer box. Using a jigsaw, cut the following elements: two side walls (the same size), a front and back wall (the same size), as well as the top and bottom of the future structure.
Step 2
Paint the outside of each piece the desired color and allow the paint to dry. Once drying is complete, tape the inside of each piece with foil. This material will be one of the factors that inhibit sound in the subwoofer.
Step 3
When you buy a speaker for a subwoofer, complete with the product, you should be given a template for fixing it, as well as a gasket and an output tube. To fix all this on the case, you have to follow a series of actions.
Step 4
Place the template against the faceplate and mark the holes for the screws and the speaker on it. The screw holes must be drilled with a thin drill. Before you start cutting out the speaker contour, drill an arc along the mark with a thin drill that will accommodate the jigsaw blade. Next, use a jigsaw to cut the hole for the column (it is recommended to set the tool at high speed). Try on the speaker, if everything is in order, engage in cutting the hole for the output tube.
Step 5
Select a sample according to the diameter of the tube and insert it into the screwdriver, after which, drill a hole on the side wall. Unlike the speaker, the outlet tube can be fixed immediately.
Step 6
Collect the box. To do this, lubricate each end of the wall with silicone and connect them. Once the silicone is dry, drill the screw holes and tighten. Before you install the speaker, complete all electrical work. When attaching the speaker, you must use the spacer provided with the product.
