Garmin is a GPS navigation device. Its use will allow you to find your way around the area even in an unfamiliar city and use voice prompts in order to get to the desired object.

Instructions
Step 1
Download the firmware for the device from the manufacturer's official website - garmin.com. On the site, select the type of device, download the firmware file. Unzip it to any folder on your computer. Find in the folder and carefully read the Update.txt file. Flash the device according to this instruction.
Step 2
Download the russification file suitable for your device model to your computer from this page https://e-trex.narod.ru/download.htm to russify the navigator. Review the instructions in the readme.txt file. Charge the batteries of your navigator fully, insert them into the device, turn it on and connect to the computer using a cable.
Step 3
Go to the folder where you unpacked the files from the archive. Run updater.exe. In the window that appears, select your COM port from the list. Then click the Update button. Confirm your choice, click "OK". Wait a few minutes for the process of Russification of the navigator to complete. If an error appears, follow the next step.
Step 4
Check the correctness of the port specified in the program settings (you might have confused USB and COM ports). Please enter the correct port. If the device does not respond, and the program says that the navigator was not found, go to the device settings, specify the Garmin interface type.
Step 5
After correcting these errors, turn off and turn on the device, reconnect it to the computer and try to russify Garmin again. If a Software Missing error appears, try using a different port for the connection.
Step 6
Unpack the archive downloaded in the second step into the folder with the updater.exe file. It will contain a new *.rgn file. Rename it, assign the name 016901000360. Run the updater file, repeat the third step again. After that, go to the navigator menu, select "Settings", "Select languages" and set the Russian language.
