The phone lock code protects your device against unauthorized use in the event that your SIM card is replaced or lost. This code is entered when the phone is turned on. Sometimes the user can forget this information, so you need to use various methods to determine the lock code.
Instructions
Step 1
Take the locked Nokia phone to a service center so that a technician can figure out the lock code. However, sometimes there is no time to contact the support service or the phone is needed outside of working hours. In these cases, you can independently find out the necessary information using special programs.
Step 2
Download NSS and Nokia Unlocker software, which will allow you to find out the lock code on your Nokia phone. You can find these applications on the Internet at specialized sites. Before working with programs, check them for viruses and compare checksums.
Step 3
Install the NSS application on your personal computer. Connect your Nokia phone to your PC with the dedicated USB cable. It should be noted that the device must be turned on. Otherwise, programs will not be able to connect to your Nokia phone.
Step 4
Start the NSS program. A prompt appears with the text: "Please select from the following Service device you will be using after the installations", in which you must select the item "Virtual USB device". Find the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the program, which says "Scan for new device".
Step 5
Click the "Phohe Info" button, then in the window that opens, click the "Scan" button. On the left side, the information "Phone IMEI" and "Phone version" will appear. Select the "Permanent Memory" tab and check the box next to the "To File" label, then click the "Read" button. The program will start processing the process. Wait a while and save the file with *.pm extension.
Step 6
Launch Nokia Unlocker. Open the path to the saved *.pm file and click on the "Define" button. As a result, the program will issue the lock code for your Nokia phone. Enter it into the request window on the phone screen and unlock it.
