Step 1
In the case of incorrectly tuned speakers, it is enough to turn the tone knob, reducing the low frequencies to an acceptable level. In the case of an audio card, everything is also extremely simple. You need to open its control panel (usually an icon in the form of a speaker) and adjust the tone, as is the case with speakers, or lower the level of the signal supplied to the subwoofer. Another likely reason for the excessively low sound of the file is the incorrect setting of the audio player program. Just turn off the equalizer or reduce the low frequencies in it. If after all the measures taken, any file continues to sound dull or boomy, while the rest have acquired normal sound, then the problem is in the frequency balance of the file itself.
Step 2
Removing bass from an audio file is also not such a difficult task. A few minutes spent at the computer can be more than offset by the time spent listening to an optimized audio track. To work, you need a program for editing audio material. There are many different software products with which you can correct the balance of frequencies. One of the most popular is Adobe Audition. Install it on your computer.
Step 3
First, right-click on the file and select the line "Open with". Open the file in Adobe Audition or any other program of your choice. Now you need to process the file with an equalizer. Select the entire area you want to change (in this case the entire file) by double-clicking. Then go to the Effects menu and select the Filter & EQ tab where the graphic equalizer is located. Click on the appropriate item.
Step 4
For the most accurate setting, click on the "30 bands" button. This will make the EQ 30 bands. Now slowly lower the faders (sliders) below 100 Hz, as you would in a normal player. This is the bass register. Monitor the resulting sound continuously. When you are happy with your changes, click the OK button in the EQ window. All adjustments will be applied to the file. Then save the file and enjoy the result.
