Mobile phones have become firmly established in the life of every person in a short time. Over the past two decades, the mobile phone has changed dramatically: from an ordinary device for calls, it has turned into a functional device.

The telephone is not just a means of communication

Modern mobile gadgets can combine different functions - a means of communication, an mp3 player, a camera, a voice recorder, a radio, wi-fi, etc. The phone has become, in fact, a multifunctional toy for adults. And a logical question arises: how does all this fit into such a small device?

A mobile phone is a rather complex device, the main part of which is a special board. It is she who is responsible for all the tasks assigned to the phone. It is also often referred to as a motherboard. Various devices (camera, display, etc.) are connected to it, which ensure the interaction of the user with the phone.

Mobile phone mechanical parts

As for the case of a mobile phone, there are three main forms - a slider, a clamshell (book) and a candy bar. There is also a flip (a hinged cover that covers the keyboard) and a rotator (body parts can rotate relative to each other), but these are very rare.

The monoblock consists of a front and a back panel. The back panel is usually combined with the battery compartment or the battery itself. The clamshell phone case consists of an upper and a lower part, as well as a swing mechanism. And the body of the slider phone necessarily has a slide on which the parts of the body slide. The display of phones is also considered a separate part of the case.

The keypad in mobile phones consists of two parts. The first one is visible - these are, as a rule, plastic buttons, and the second is hidden. It is a metal substrate that closes the keyboard contacts.

An important component of a mobile phone is the battery, since it is it that ensures its operation. There are NiMH, LiPo and Li-ion batteries, depending on the type.

Displays in mobile phones can be set in two types - black and white and color. Now only colored ones are used. In sliders or clamshells, a display module is often used - a display (or two displays) on one board. All the components necessary for operation are soldered to this board, including the phone speakers.

Other mechanical parts include a microphone, earpiece, camera, vibration motor, antenna. A few more new details have been added to modern mobile phones - RAM, Wi-Fi module, etc.
