The pattern key allows you to keep the confidentiality of information on your phone or tablet and is considered a very convenient tool. However, it sometimes happens that the owner forgets the password he has invented and cannot access the functions of the gadget. What to do if you forgot your pattern?
There are several ways to unlock your phone or tablet in such a situation.
Using your Google account
This method allows you to unlock your gadget quickly and easily. But it will only work if the tablet or smartphone is tied to a Google account. After several attempts (usually five) to remember the forgotten key, the device system will display a link: “Forgot your graphic password?”. You just need to click on it. As a result, the Google account login form will be displayed on the screen. After entering the data, the gadget is immediately unlocked.
Software use
The answer to the question of what to do if you forgot your pattern with a synchronized Google account is thus simple. It is much worse if the profile of this social network is not tied to the phone or tablet, or the password from Google is also forgotten (and it is very difficult to recover it, by the way). In this case, you will have to use special software for unlocking.
The procedure should be as follows:
- USB debugging is connected (settings - development);
- the phone or tablet is connected to the computer;
- the ADB RUN program is installed on the computer;
- the command cmd is written in the command line of the PC.
Further, for those who have forgotten the graphic password, you need to register the path to the package with the program, approximately as in the picture below.
Then you should execute such commands, pressing Enter after each.
After that, you need to reboot the device, either by disconnecting it from the computer, or using the RegawMod Rebooter program (it will also need to be installed on the PC). After that, you no longer need the forgotten pattern to enter the gadget menu. If, when turning on, the device asks for a similar password again, you can enter absolutely any one. Only then it is also advisable not to forget it.
What to do if you forgot your pattern: other ways
There are other methods for unlocking a forgotten key on a smartphone or tablet. This can be done, for example, through the Recovery menu, or by flashing. But the two methods described above are the simplest. If you can't unlock your phone or tablet on your own, don't despair. Just take it to the nearest service. There, experts will help you get access to your data. But of course, they will only unlock the device for a certain fee.
