The scan rate is the number of frames that manages to flash in front of the viewer per minute. Fifty Hz in conventional devices is not enough when the movie is particularly dynamic. In order to prevent quality deterioration, the developers have created a technology for "drawing" one additional frame between two frames, which has increased the speed up to 100 Hz. This frame is modeled and inserted into the image by the processor. LED TVs are also equipped with another novelty - Scanning Backlight, which increases the frequency by flickering the backlight.

Active is more dynamic, but its flickering is somewhat annoying. Viewing in passive mode is more comfortable, but the resolution is reduced by 2 times.
