Gone are the days when the cell phone was a luxury item. Most of us have a cell phone or smartphone, or even two or three. Cell phone manufacturers, on the other hand, are producing not only more and more advanced models of smartphones, but also phones designed for certain types of consumers.
Does a child attending kindergarten or elementary school need a phone? Obviously, in many situations, parents will be calmer if there is an opportunity to call and hear that everything is fine with the child. For such children, telephones in the form of toys are intended, with programmable buttons and the ability to parental control of the device and SIM card.
Phones for the smallest users come in brightly colored cases that resemble children's toys. They usually have a minimum number of buttons (pick up and hang up, programmable to call certain button numbers). Children's mobile phone can reject calls and SMS from third-party numbers, parents can also control the duration of the child's calls, exercise audio control, block his work for the required period of time, with someone else's SIM card. Thus, we can say that the phone is intended for communication between parents and their child when he is in kindergarten, school, away or with a nanny. The disadvantages of a phone for the smallest are the small selection of models, complicated programming of the phone if the model does not have a screen, as well as an overpriced price.
An alternative to a special children's mobile phone is the cheapest model of a regular cell phone. Of course, it will be more interesting for a child to use such a phone, because the social circle will not be so limited, and the opportunity to listen to music, take photos, play games is available in most inexpensive cell phones, so a cheap regular phone is preferable for a student, rather than a phone in the form toys. But most do not recommend expensive cell phones or smartphones for children, because the risk to the health and life of the child is too great if someone is flattered by this thing.
