Mobile phones equipped with the Bluetooth function allow the exchange of data over the radio channel at a distance of up to ten meters. The device with which the exchange is carried out (including another phone) must have the same interface.
Instructions
Step 1
Find an item called Bluetooth in the menu of your phone. For example, in Nokia devices it may have the following location: "Settings" - "Connectivity" - Bluetooth.
Step 2
An input form will appear, consisting of several fields. In the Bluetooth field, select the Enabled option to enable the interface. In the field titled “Visible to all” or similar, select “Yes” or “No”, depending on whether you want your phone to be visible from other devices. Keep in mind that if the phone is visible, vulnerabilities in its firmware could allow intruders to read the contents of its memory without your knowledge. But the likelihood of this is rather small. In the "Phone name" field, enter an arbitrary string. It can use both Latin and Cyrillic. In order not to arouse the interest of potential kidnappers, you can enter the name of some inexpensive device in this field. If the Remote SIM Access field is present, for security reasons, be sure to enter the value "Disabled" in it.
Step 3
To transfer a file to another phone, select it using the built-in file manager or a similar third-party program (for example, X-Plore). In the context menu, select the "Send" item, and then the "Via Bluetooth" sub-item (the exact names of these items depend on the program used). An automatic device search will start. Select the recipient's phone number among them. An appointment request will appear on it. Answer positive and the file will be transferred. It will be in the same folder where received SMS and MMS messages are stored. If a password request form appears on both phones, enter any four-digit number in each of them - the main thing is that it is the same on both phones. Do not share files that are not yours to people outside of your normal family circle. After accepting an executable file from an unknown person, do not run it under any circumstances - it may turn out to be malicious.
Step 4
Transfer files to a computer equipped with a Bluetooth interface in the same way. The only difference is that the receive request will not be displayed on the screen - the computer will accept the file without warning.
Step 5
To pair an external GLONASS or GPS receiver with a phone, first perform a general reset of the set-top box by pressing the corresponding button on it. Then start the navigation program on the phone, and in its smaller select the item corresponding to the search for the receiver. When you find the last one in the list of devices, select it. Enter the password 0000, and if it does not work, try passwords 1234 and 12345. Immediately after pairing, the receiver will become invisible to other phones until it is again subjected to a master reset.
Step 6
Connect the wireless headset to the headset with the dedicated button. Press the right button of the phone's joystick, and instead of the input form, a list of paired devices will appear. Display the context menu with the left subscreen button, then select "New paired device" or similar. Select the headset from the list, and then enter the passcode as above. Through the same menu, you can delete paired devices, for example, if the headset is transferred to another person.
