The presence of two active audio speakers is an integral part of a modern multimedia personal computer. They can be attached to the monitor or installed next to it. But due to some physical limitations, it is impossible to achieve normal reproduction of the full range of sound frequencies from such speakers. Low frequencies especially suffer in this matter.

Instructions

Step 1

Select the material for making the subwoofer box. If you intend to make a subwoofer in your car, then for convenience, make a trapezoidal box with a beveled back cover. It is better to make a box from chipboard with a thickness of about 16 mm (not too thick and will not allow rattling), fit wooden bars 25x25 mm around the entire perimeter of the box, twist everything with self-tapping screws on wood.

Step 2

Then glue the PVA thoroughly (there is no point in using more expensive or more durable glue). For easier operation (if you have to often carry the sub), you can slightly drown the side walls in the body or attach additional handles for carrying (again, depending on how large the sub will be).

Step 3

In the left side panel, make a hole in 200x120 mm, if you want to make an active sub, insert a plate into the hole, on which, subsequently, fix the radiator with the amplifier board, power connectors, input connectors, for connecting a remote amplifier switch, for a LED, a power indicator and H-Mode. Fuses can also be taken out there. Screw the panel securely to the cabinet with the screws.

Step 4

Glue the inside of the box with any sound-insulating material (polyurethane, cotton wool, however, whatever comes to hand, the main thing is that it works). From above, you can glue the box with a carpet or other durable material.

Step 5

Make an amplifier according to the given microcircuit (operates at 2 ohms). However, in the process, something can be abandoned in favor of construction, depending on the source material.

Step 6

As a result, you get a pretty good subwoofer that will produce deep and pleasant bass, while creating a good sound pressure. Not the limit of dreams and perfection, but for an ordinary music lover it is quite a good device.
