It seems that today there is no person who at least once did not overpay for mobile communications. Sometimes money just miraculously starts to disappear from the account, and in customer service offices you can hear vague answers like: "You yourself have accidentally activated this paid service." Let's try to figure out how to protect ourselves as much as possible from unwanted expenses for mobile communications.
Instructions
Step 1
When buying a SIM card, immediately ask for full information on how you can turn off paid services yourself. The fact is that already when buying in some offices of mobile operators without the consent of the client, several paid services are already connected to your SIM card. Often they will not be reported to you. Charges for connected services are often debited without SMS notification. The subscriber is lost in guesses and thinks to solve the problem by changing the tariff, but the connected paid services remain on your number. Money continues to disappear from the account.
Step 2
It is best to ask the company's employees immediately after purchasing a SIM card to tell you which paid additional services are already connected to your number by default.
Step 3
Register on the official website of the cellular company and go to your personal account. Here you will see all expenses, received payments, call list and connected paid additional services. In your personal account, you can independently disable those services that you do not need.
Step 4
Sometimes you connect paid services yourself, when quite impressive amounts are debited from your account per day. There are many sites on the Internet where you are required to enter your phone number to register. Don't do this! When you receive an activation code, money has often been debited from your account. Your number is already connected to some paid service, which is sometimes not so easy to disable. You can even get to a site where, even after unsubscribing, after a day it can be restored automatically, again without your consent. It is, in fact, a virus that aims to withdraw money from your mobile phone account. Sometimes, in such situations, you even have to resort to the help of a specialist in order to finally get rid of an intrusive subscription.
Step 5
Never answer calls from unknown numbers or open SMS messages from unknown numbers. Of course, never follow a link if it is sent to you in a message. There is a very high probability of catching a viral mini-program that will automatically charge money from your mobile phone account.
Step 6
Another way to avoid unwanted emptying of your mobile phone balance: never give your phone to strangers. In addition to the fact that it can be trite stolen from you, a fraudster can quietly reset your balance by transferring all the money to another number.
