Setting your own ringtones
Everything on the phone should be individual - themes, wallpapers, applications, books and so on. Also, an important part of setting up a personal smartphone is considered to be the installation of individual music for calls, alarms, SMS messages, etc. There are several ways how you can put music on a ring in Sony Xperia smartphones.
Methods for setting ringtone music
You can set your own ringtone using a special Walkman player, which is available on all Sony mobile phones. To change the melody, you need to go to the player, then select the item "My music". Then you need to go to the folder where the desired melody is located, then select it and hold it down with your finger for a few seconds until the menu appears. In the list that appears, select the item "As a ringtone" and that's it - the selected music is set to the call.
You can also change the melody using free applications. For example, Astro File Manager can set a melody for both calls and SMS. To do this, you need to go to the application, select the desired mp3 melody on the memory card, hold it for a few seconds with your finger and select the Music options - Set as rington items in the menu that appears.
You can also put music on an individual person from a contact book, but it will be a little more difficult. So, first you need to connect your Sony Xperia smartphone to your computer using a USB cable. Then you need to open the root directory and create a special Media folder. If the folder already exists, then you need to go into it and create a new Audio folder. And in it you can create 4 folders: alarms (melodies for an alarm clock), ui (sounds of the interface), notifications (melodies for SMS, MMS, mail) and ringtones (melodies for a call).
That is, if you need to set a melody for a call, then the selected melodies should be copied along the path - "… / media / audio / ringtones /". Next, you need to go to "Contacts", select a specific person in the list and sequentially press "Menu - Options - Ringtone". After that, you can install any melody that was previously copied to the ringtones folder. Other melodies are set in the same way - for an alarm clock, SMS, etc.
If you need to set a call, for example, for all incoming calls, then you need to go to the phone settings and select "Sound - Ringtone". After that, all available melodies from the ringtones folder will appear.
