The installation of ringtones on the iPhone can be done using the program for managing files of the phone iTunes. To do this, you need to find the song you like, open it in the program, and then cut it to the desired size, and then download it to your device.
Instructions
Step 1
Open iTunes on your computer. After that, click on the "File" - "Add a file to the library" section. You can also transfer a melody to the program window by dragging it from a folder on your computer to the corresponding section of the library using the left mouse button.

After downloading the desired melody, select it in the application window to listen to. Track the playing time of the song to catch the desired section to set the ringtone. This interval cannot be longer than 38 seconds. Listen to the song and memorize the start and end times of the desired section.
Step 3
Click on the song with the right mouse button to bring up the context menu. Select "Information" and then go to the "Options" tab. Here you can change the duration of the melody by checking the boxes opposite the "Start" and "Stop time". In the corresponding fields, specify the start and end time of the segment that you would like to set as a ringtone, and then click "OK".
Step 4
Right-click on the newly created entry in the iTunes window, which will be your ringtone. From the menu that appears, select Create AAC Version. You will now have a copy of the melody you want.
Step 5
Navigate to the folder where you stored the original version of the song. Next to it, you will see the created ringtone, which will have the m4a extension. This is your ringtone file. Right-click on this file and select "Rename". Change the song extension from m4a to m4r, then press Enter.
Step 6
If you do not see the file extension, go to the "Tools" - "Folder Options" - "View" tab of the Windows folder. Uncheck "Hide extensions" and then try changing the extension again.
Step 7
In the iTunes window, delete the shortened version of the song, and then delete the settings you made in the Information section of the original song file. After that, move the modified m4r to the program window.
Step 8
Connect your iPhone to your computer and click on the device icon in the upper right corner of the program. Go to the Sounds section and click Sync to add a ringtone to your phone. After completing the procedure, you can go to the device settings to change the ringtone. The ringtone replacement procedure is now complete.
