Mobile operator "MTS Belarus" supports data transmission via 3G, EDGE and GPRS channels. To access the Internet, you will need to make certain settings for the device and enter the appropriate data in the access point options, through which the Internet connection is made.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the corresponding menu item to configure the Internet on your device. So, for mobile devices based on Android, go to the "Settings" section using the appropriate shortcut on the desktop or through the main menu. In the menu that appears, select "Wireless networks" - "Mobile network" - "Access point" or APN.
Step 2
For phones running iOS 6, this menu item is located in the "Settings" section, the shortcut of which is available on the main screen. Select the option "Basic" - "Network" - "Cellular data network". For devices based on iOS 7, use the item "Settings" - "Cellular".
Step 3
Having opened the menu of the device, enter the data required to access the Internet. Create a new access point and enter any name for it. In the APN line, specify the mts parameter. In the "Name" and "Password" sections, also specify mts. You do not need to fill in the Proxy and Port fields. Select "Authentication type" PAP, and for the APN type specify "Internet", then click "Save" and leave the menu for creating an access point.
Step 4
Restart the machine for the changes to take effect. After making the settings, go to the "Browser" section using the corresponding shortcut in the system. For iPhone, this option is represented by the Safari item. Enter any address in the upper address bar and press "Enter" to go. If all the settings were made correctly, you will see the desired site on the screen.
Step 5
If the connection fails, it is likely that you have not subscribed to a data service. To do this, in the dialing mode, enter * 111 * 401 # and press the call button. If, after performing the above steps, you cannot access the network, call the operator's support service at 0890.
