Apple recently released a new operating system for mobile devices - iOS 11. Many have already been updated, but not everyone knows about most of the useful features.
If friends or acquaintances come to you, then of course the first thing that you will be asked is to distribute your Wi-Fi. With iOS 11, you no longer need to remember a code and then manually enter it. Just ask guests to connect to your router and devices connected to this access point will be prompted to distribute the password. Click on the message and the password will be automatically filled in on the guest device.
A new option "Change with buttons" has been added to the settings for sounds and tactile signals. If this switch is off, then anywhere in the system you can use the buttons to change the volume of system notifications and the sound in games, regardless of where you are. If you activate this switch, then on the desktop and in system applications the ringer volume will be changed using the buttons on the case, and in third-party games and applications - the sound volume. This option is preferred. Otherwise, in order to change the ringer volume, you will have to go into the settings. Siri was created uniquely for voice communication. But here's the problem - in noisy places, rooms with a strong echo, words are not always recognized correctly, and in places with a large crowd of people it is somehow not very convenient to talk to a smartphone. In such cases, it is better to go to Settings - General - Accessibility - Siri and activate the Text input item. Now, when you call Siri with your voice, you will see a line prompting you to enter a request through the keyboard. If you call the voice assistant with a double tap on the Home button, the text request is activated automatically. By pressing a special key, a request can also be entered by voice and edited on the fly.
How to turn off your smartphone if the power button is broken? It's simple, in iOS 11 go to Settings - General and scroll down the list. You will see a new item - "Turn off?". After that, all that remains is to slide your finger over the slider. To turn on your smartphone - just put it on charge. And immediately one more tip for those who do not have a home button. To quickly block your smartphone, activate the Assistive Touch pimple. Go to Settings - General - Accessibility - Assistive Touch. By tapping on the button, you will get access to the screen lock icon. IOS 11 introduces the long-awaited iPhone screen recording feature. The corresponding button must be activated through the settings of the Control Center. Go to the "Customize Controls" section and add the "Screen Recorder" item.
To record a video with audio overlay from the microphone, make a long tap or 3D Touch gesture. Unfortunately, recording of system sounds is not available. And the most important tip - do not update to iOS 11 yet if you have an iPhone 5s or iPhone 6. On these devices, the latest revision does not matter, and the battery charge runs out much faster. It will be simply impossible to rollback to iOS 10, it is no longer signed by Apple. If you have already updated over the air and you are haunted by atypical bugs, then you need to roll up a clean iOS using iTunes and the downloaded IPSW file.
