The blacklist function was previously present on a large number of mobile devices. Over time, most phone companies have removed this setting from their phone software. However, the ability to block calls from unwanted callers can be activated by installing special applications.
Instructions
Step 1
Please make sure your phone does not have this option before installing a third party application. To do this, go to "Settings" - "Calls" of the device and find the item called "Blacklist" or "Unwanted numbers", depending on the model of the device.
Step 2
If this option is present on your phone, use the phone interface to add the unnecessary number to the block list. Click "Add" and specify the position from the list of contacts that you would like to include in this option. Save your changes. Now the user who wants to call your phone will receive a busy signal every time they dial the number.
Step 3
If this option is absent, add the number to the black list using a special program. Go to your device's app store - Play Market for Android, AppStore or iTunes for iOS, and Market for Windows Phone. At the top of the screen, enter the search term "Blacklist" and wait for the results to appear.
Step 4
There are different programs for activating the option depending on the platform. For Android, a good utility is Calls Blacklist, which will block not only calls, but also SMS. The program consumes a minimum amount of resources and will not affect the speed of your device. There is an iBlacklist application for the iPhone, which, however, only works with jailbroken devices. The Blacklist program is often used for Windows Phone.
Step 5
Click the "Install" button on the page of the selected utility. After the installation is complete, launch the program using the icon on the main screen. Using the options presented on the display, add the unnecessary number from the phonebook of the device.
Step 6
In the "Settings" field, you can select blocking options - whether you want to receive SMS from a blocked number or do you want to completely block all attempts by the subscriber to contact you. Save your changes. The blacklist option is now activated.
