Instructions
Step 1
Browse the websites of cellular operators. Usually they have lists of codes of Russian regions, which are used when registering numbers. Compare them with the initial digits of the number and you can find out from which area the call was made.
Step 2
You can find out a more exact place from which the call was made using special online services, for example, https://www.numberingplans.com/. On the left side of the main page, you will see the Number Analysis Tool section, in which you need to click on the Number analysis link.
Step 3
Enter the phone number you need, as well as the region of registration. Enter the numbers in the correct order, starting with the country code and then hyphenating the three-digit operator code and the phone number itself. Be sure to follow this sequence, otherwise the system will not recognize the phone number and you will not achieve the desired result.
Step 4
On the same site, you can find out the mobile operator who owns the existing number, if there are problems with this. Enter the available data, but instead of the operator code, enter the data of the telephone area code. To do this, you need to know the number in the international format. Please note that the system is only able to recognize a three-digit code, although some cities have more digits. In this case, after the country code, you need to enter the first three digits of the code, separated by a hyphen, and then enter the remaining digit before the first two from the phone number itself.
Step 5
In other situations, use a search engine query using the operator or city code as part of the keywords, then find the table of identifiers belonging to mobile operators or regions of a particular country.
Step 6
Visit one of the mobile phone stores in your city, preferably the operator for which the number you need is registered. Ask the experts to help you figure out which area and city the challenge was made from.
