Touch ID technology
Touch ID is a fingerprint scanning method developed and patented by Apple. With Touch ID, you can lock your tablet and make purchases from the App Store and iTunes. The sensor in the new iPad air 2 is the same as in the iPhone 5s.

The new tablet has a very progressive display. The screen size and resolution are no different from its predecessor. But the iPad air 2 was the first to use full screen module lamination technology. Thanks to this, the screen has become thinner, the picture is located as close to the glass as possible. The new anti-reflective coating should improve the viewing experience in bright sunlight.
The cameras on iPad Air 2 have been greatly improved. The front camera has become more light-sensitive, the resolution has been added to the main camera - up to 8 MPx. Time-lapse and slow motion video recording, panoramic and burst sessions became available. The iPad Air 2 was never equipped with a built-in flash.
The built-in speakers have received a slight improvement with the use of larger holes in the speaker grilles. The location of the microphones has also changed. They are now positioned next to the front camera lens to prevent accidental hand coverage.

According to the manufacturers, the power of the central processor has increased by 40%, the power of the graphics subsystem - 2.5 times (compared to the iPad air). The new A8X processor has three cores and 2GB of RAM.
